Nothing in her background destined Loïe Fuller from the Midwest to become a Belle Epoque icon. Even at the risk of ruining her spine and burning her eyes with the stage lights, she will never falter from the quest to perfect her dancing. But a prodigious young dancer hungry for glory and fame, her encounter using Isadora Duncan, will precipitate the autumn with this icon at the beginning of the twentieth century.
