The White Sun of the Desert

The setting is the east shore of the Caspian Sea (now's Turkmenistan) at which the Red Army soldier Fyodor Sukhov has been fighting the Civil War in Russian Asia for a number of years. After then demobbed and getting hospitalised, he sets off to join his wife, only to be captured up in a jungle struggle between Basmachi guerrillas and a Red Army cavalry unit. Even the cavalry unit commander, Rahimov,"convinces" Sukhov to help, temporarily, with the security of abandoned women of this Basmachi guerrilla leader Abdullah's harem. Leaving a Red Army soldier, Petrukha, to assist Sukhov using all the endeavor, Rahimov and his cavalry unit lay out to chase tripping Abdullah.Sukhov and women out of Abdullah's harem come back to a nearby shore town. So on, looking to get a seaway across the boundary, Abdullah and his gang come to the exact town...
