Quark

Quark

Quark is a American science fiction situation comedy starring Richard Benjamin. The pilot aired on May 7, 1977, and the series followed as being a mid-season replacement in February 1978. The series had been cancelled in April 1978. Buck Henry created quark, co-creator of this spy spoof Get Smart. The series had been set to a United Galaxy Sanitation Patrol Cruiser, an interstellar garbage scow working out of United Galaxies Space-station Perma One in the Season 2226. Adam Quark, the major character, works to clean up crap in space by collecting"space baggies" along with his reputable and highly peculiar crew. In its short run, Quark satirized such sciencefiction as Star Wars, 2001: A Space Odyssey and Flash Gordon. Three of those episodes were straight satires of Star Trek episodes. The series won one Emmy Award nomination, for costume developer Grady Hunt's work from the episode"Each of the Emperor's Quasi-Norms, Part two". The entire series was released on DVD on October 14, 2008.
